Other frogs in Bocas del Toro

Frog Bocas As I was writing in the post about the Red Frog, Oophaga pumilio, there is a change in coloration throughout the province that occurs in the “Red Frog.”  It is both an exceptional and spectacular case, so many times we might overlook the striking diversity of frogs in the Archipelago of Bocas del Toro and the rest of the Province.

Many other frog species belong to the frog chorus that “sings”before the rain comes, and many other coloration strategies are take place in Bocas.

In the Caribbean Lowlands, frogs occupy every level of the forest, the creeks, the leaf matter, etc.   There are diurnal and nocturnal species, so they occupy every space all the time.

Today, I will show you two different frogs and then we will post the others throughout the week.Frog Bocas del Toro Panama
